Chinese Black Tea - Classic 58 Fengqing Black Tea

    Chinese black tea

This IMO organic-certified Classic 58 Chinese Black Tea is directly from organic-certified tea base of Yunnan Fengqing Dianhong Tea Factory, which is famous for producing the highest quality Yunnan black tea. When Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II visited China in 1986, Deng Xiaoping-the chairman of central military commision of China, sent the black tea from Dianhong tea factory as a gift to Queen Elizabeth II.

Speical & well-processd needle shape Chinese black tea, it enjoys high freshness and sweetness. For such high quality, it has little or no astringency at all; hence there is no need to add some sugar or honey to compensate the astringency; but still, if adding some pure milk, then the taste is more smooth and mellow, I will never forget the mellowness of this milk tea.

This classic 58 Chinese black tea was firstly invented in 2006 by Dianhong factory, which carefully selected the high aroma big leaves variety in Fengqing tea bases. Its making process is different from the traditional Fengqing black tea. The first flush of leaves and buds of the spring tea are usually picked. They are harvested when the bushes are about fifty to seventy years old. Small leaves or buds preparing to set are picked by hand. After picking, they are transported to the factory, where the experts in the Dianhong Factory produce this standard style of a high quality black tea. This technical art was first mastered by Fengqing tea facotry in the year 1958. They are processed in small batches to high quality specially formulated black tea. Classic 58 Chinblack tea, with straight, tight leaves and buds, with golden hair and high aroma. This tea enjoys very high, sweet aroma, but thick taste, long-lasting sweetness.

Brewing Method of Classic 58 Fengqing Black Tea

The method of brewing this Chinese black tea is absolutely different from the method that was applied on the traditional Fengqing black tea. When brewing, the brewing vessel as Gaiwan which is 120 to 250cc capacity or yixing and porcelain teapot can be used, both at the same capacities. Water is also a basic necessity in the brewing process. Purified or mineral water is always the best. The brewing temperature of water should be over 90 degress celcius or 203F. When gaiwan or yixing pot is used, 5 to 8 grams of the fengqing black tea is used based on the person's preference and taste. The vessels containing the Gong Fu Cha and water is then warmed. After warming the hot water contained in the mixture is then drained out. Put the tea in Gaiwan or yixing pot, cober the lid of the pot and shake the vessel for about three seconds. Try to smell the aroma produced by the dried leaves when the lid is opened. The content produces a golden nice aroma, The colour of the produced tea soup is usually bright orange. Cold water is then poured into the pot used and drained out immediately. Flavours can also be added to complement the freshening aroma and enhance taste. Such flavours may include; brown sugar, brown toast, chocolate earth, fig malt, oats, yams, cocoa, sweet potatoes baked bread, dried fruits, honey, molasses, raisins, dates, mineral, smoke and weed. Such flavours enhance and bring out a sweet taste.
