The Lapsang Souchong Tea is a black tea which originated from Tongmu village of Wuyi areas in Fujian province, China. It is also known as a smoked tea, because Lapsang Souchong has a very distinct from other types of tea; its curly tea leaves are smoked and dried traditionally over pinewood fires, therefore getting a distinctive smoky flavor. Since the area of its origin is super small, the smoky lapsang is increasingly becoming more expensive as the demand continuously increases.
