Shui Xian Oolong - Premium Banyan Narcissus Oolong Wuyi Rock Tea (Medium-roasted)

Shui Xian Oolong is famous for its mellowness and light narcissus floral aroma. For this Banyan Shuixian, it has very good narcissus aroma, with very mellow tea taste with lingering sweetness after sipping the tea liquid. All of our Shui Xian Oolong is baked extremely slowly by charcoal, and only arrive in the market in August of every year. So the new Shui Xian Oolong still has a little bit charcoal feeling in taste. As the tea breathe under the air, the charcoal aroma will disappear slowly and the tea's original taste and aroma will come out. All of medium to high-roasted Shui Xian Oolong can be stored for over 2-3 years.

    How to make

Producing Shui Xian Oolong is a delicate process that requires utmost precision if you wish to achieve a perfect result. It thrives in the mountains of Wu Yi at an altitude of 800 m where perfect humidity, altitude, and temperature work together to enhance its growth. There are several stages in the production process. First is the harvesting stage, where Shui Xian Oolong leaves are plucked from the tea bushes, second is the withering stage where the leaves are spread under direct sunlight so that they can dry completely and be ready for oxidation. The third is the process of tossing where the leaves are placed in baskets of bamboo and tossed about to soften them and increase their oxidation rate. Fourth is the shaping stage where the leaves are given their impressively unique shape. They are rolled by hand and twisted to form thin strips. Last is the process of roasting and firing where the leaves gain their dark color. They are roasted under controlled temperatures to avoid turning them into ashes. Afterward, they are packed and sold.
